The New House

Buried below a feeling of "I've gotta post the vacation pics" is an excited chica desiring to show the family the stages of the new house. So, forget part 2 and 3 of the vacation for a moment: Here's the new house in it's stages so far!

Notice the puddles of water-- it rained a couple of days in mid September when the roof wasn't on. Fortunately, this was only after a mild sprinkling, and then they got it roofed after a couple of dry, warm days.

We're a stone's throw away from the huge neighborhood park... And, no, not even these neighbors will have that view. Two or three houses are going to be built between their yard and the park from this view. But it will be nice to be within a close walk of the park.

Our barn red house... the color is growing on me. A 2"X 2" color swatch is not enough to decide a house color.

Today we walked through. The garage door is now on, and they mudded it on Saturday, so I think once the final mudding happens (garage left from what we can tell), then next comes more interior stuff like painting, carpet, etc! We're really excited how it's been coming along. They estimated a month ago to be finished on November 4th. They don't have to be done until the 30th. We locked in a fantastic interest rate, so we're hoping for sooner than Nov 15th. Plus, if we're in early November, we get to have a great Stedman Family Thanksgiving with Mom, Linda, the Glenns, and the Ahlstroms.
